As birders, we keep lists of the birds we’ve seen. Most birders keep some sort of list or lists. Most common are a life list, a year list, and for some, a yard list. Some birders are much more anal about listing, and in addition to the common three, keep lists of a county; a city, a state or other countries, birds seen while biking or walking, birds heard, nesting birds, birds seen while at work, birds seen while driving, etc. You get the idea.
This is our yard list. These are birds we have seen on our property ( in bold ) or flying over, a 1-1/3 acre rural lot near Green Bay, WI; or birds seen from our property either flying nearby or on adjacent properties visible from our place. The birds are listed in taxonomic order.
