Daytime Fireworks

This July 4th our yard is exploding with its own fireworks.

This lily is even called Firecracker!  Enjoy the rest of the show.

It has been busy and hectic around here the last couple of weeks but now that our garage sale is done we will be back to our foodie ways very soon. Watch for birds too since our kestrels have fledged and we’ve been getting some great pictures. Have a great Fourth of July!

    • Really? I’ve heard of eating squash blossoms; although now that I think of it we do add dried lily blossoms to Chinese Hot & Sour Soup (the unopened blossoms from the common orange day lilies that we sometimes call “ditch lilies”.
