Finally a day to kick back and relax. Yesterday we rode the bus the Art Department at UWGB takes every Fall and Spring to Chicago. Curt used to serve as a chaperone on this trip but now we are just passengers taking a trip to Chicago with none of the responsibilities. It was my first time to see the new wing of the Art Institute since it opened last year. Check my links for more on the Art Institute.
The featured show on Matisse was interesting even though he is not one of my favorites.
After the Institute we took the bridge from AI over the street north to Millenium Park and then walked down Michigan Ave toward the Museum Of Contemporary Art. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, upper sixties. Before we got to the MCA we took a Starbucks break and browsed the Apple Store where the iPad was everywhere. After the MCA we got on the bus again and went to the up to the Belmont and Clark area. Dinner was at PS Bangkok, a really good Thai restaurant.
