Daylight Savings Time…

has come to Wisconsin.  It was a bit hard to take since we were out with friends last night (our gourmet group) and after a lot of great food, good wine and high spirits we made our way home around midnight. The friends we were riding with said, “Oh, this isn’t so bad, we gain an hour tonight.” Then we all said the little rhyme in our heads, “Fall back, Spring forward.” Not midnight folks, 1:00 AM.  This fact was made worse for me since I had to work the next day. Oh well it’s the next to the last weekend I will ever have to work so I toughed it out, it’s overtime after all.

Sunday has  turned out to be a really nice day. Sunny, upper 40’s and a yard full of robins, redwing blackbirds and grackles. Spring is coming. When I came home from work the house smelled wonderful. Curt was trying a new recipe, a Lemon Polenta Cake with Rosemary Syrup.  I’ll save the actual recipe for the next post since Curt has combined a couple of recipes to create his own version.  The main meal tonight is corned beef and colcannon in honor of St.Patrick’s Day which is this coming Wednesday.
